About
Iām a Japanese-British abstract artist, who loves to work spontaneously with mixed media, embracing imperfection and getting messy. Fun and play, as well as letting go are important aspects in the process. I usually start with gestural marks; watching inks and paint make interesting shapes when they are splattered or spritzed with water. I then react to what is in front of me, by building layers instinctively or mark making using pastels, chalk, and coloured pencils to create movement and texture.
I love to create art with energy and atmosphere, and sometimes with a sense of unease. Art that can evoke an emotion or feeling.
